• How long should I leave MUVO Wild Berry Shampoo in my hair?

  Different timing gets different results. Also, different variations of blonde, bleached and highlighted hair will achieve different results. We recommend that you leave anywhere from for 1-10 minutes. Experiment with timings to get your preferred tone. Did you know you can also try MUVO toning shampoos on dry hair?! Applying on towel dried or dry hair will produce more intense, and faster results.

• How long will it take for MUVO Wild Berry to wash out of my hair?

  MUVO Wild Berry washes out in 2-3 washes in most cases. If your hair is very porous it could take 3-4 washes. TIP: To speed up the process you can always use MUVO Deep Cleansing Shampoo.

• How often should I use MUVO Wild Berry?

  We recommend every second wash. We designed MUVO Wild Berry toner to give you the power to experiment and create custom colour. When you reach the desired level of berry tones and are happy with that result, maintain with MUVO Totally Naked Shampoo and Conditioner until it’s time to play with berry again!

• I've been using MUVO Wild Berry for over 2 months and now my hair is appearing murky. What’s gone wrong?

  We know you love being a rich berry, but sometimes you can over-MUVO. For the Wild Berry addicts out there, you need to make sure that their hair is in great condition and that your clients are using a normal (non-coloured) shampoo and conditioner in between Wild Berry. We recommend MUVO Totally Naked. Over processed, unhealthy hair can lead to murky tones after long-term use. Go easy on the berry!

• Is MUVO Wild Berry just for brunettes and redheads?

  Not at all! MUVO Wild Berry can be used on salon-created brunette and red hair in between salon visits, light to medium brown hair wanting cool red tones, colour treated hair in need of more vibrance to their cowboy copper shade, or dark hair wanting to inject some rich burgundy. It can also be used on bleached or highlighted hair. But beware; the colour may grab to overly porous and chemically treated strands, so you’ll need to experiment to get the required results. You’ll experience much shorter wait times on salon coloured hair than natural or darker shades. MUVO Wild Berry is very versatile. Experimenting with timing will give unique results that will keep your hair looking refreshed.

• Will MUVO Wild Berry Shampoo make my hair go red?

  That’s our plan! Don’t forget though, MUVO Wild Berry is a toning shampoo and will wash out. Lather up and immediately wash out and you will just get soft tones. The longer you leave it, the more intense colour you will deposit.

• Is MUVO Wild Berry suitable for grey hair?

  MUVO Wild Berry is a staining shampoo and its success on grey hair has differed depending on a number of things:

  • What shade of grey the hair is (from white through to dark grey hair)
  • How long the hair has been grey for
  • What colour the hair was before it was grey
  • Whether the hair has been bleached or coloured (Wild Berry will grab to the treated component of the hair) For example, a full head of white hair that has been white/grey for 10 years is unlikely to achieve any red success.

  If in doubt, we recommend trying a sample of Wild Berry first. Failing that, we suggest professionally dying your hair as opposed to using a colour shampoo.

• Do I need to use MUVO Wild Berry Shampoo on clean hair? Or use a regular shampoo afterwards?

  No. MUVO Wild Berry is a shampoo. It has all the yummy ingredients to leave hair clean and vibrant.

• Can I use MUVO Wild Berry if my roots (or ends) are a different colour?

  MUVO Wild Berry can be used in this scenario but be sure to apply mainly to the section of hair where this colour is desired. If the ends are a fashion shade (eg. balayage) MUVO Wild Berry is perfect for where red toning is required. Here’s a trick! If you want to avoid toning a section of hair, before applying shampoo, coat the areas that you don’t wish to tone with MUVO Totally Naked Conditioner. This will avoid MUVO Wild Berry Shampoo coming into contact with this section.

• How do I know if MUVO Wild Berry is right for my hair type?

  MUVO Wild Berry can be used on all hair types if the desire is to add red tones to hair. Different hair types, depending on whether you have pre-coloured, or naturally light hair, will determine processing times. Again, we invite you to experiment!

• Is MUVO Wild Berry Shampoo gluten free?

  Yes! Wild Berry Shampoo is gluten free.

• Will MUVO Wild Berry stain my hands?

  Like any beauty product with colour there is some risk of staining. This will depend on the condition of your skin (dryness etc.) If staining does occur, MUVO Wild Berry can be removed quite easily. Make sure you thoroughly rinse hands immediately after use or whilst you’re waiting for development. If concerned, we recommend using dark towels on toning days!

• Is MUVO Wild Berry suitable for children?

  Whilst MUVO Wild Berry Shampoo is safe on children’s hair, it was never designed to colour their hair and may not give results.

• Can I use this while pregnant?

  Yes! MUVO coloured shampoos are safe to use while pregnant as they are applied for a short amount of time and have no risk of being absorbed into your bloodstream. However, because every pregnancy is different and some women find themselves particularly sensitive to fragrance and ingredients that they’ve never been sensitive to before, we recommend that you do a test strand/area.
